Me and Designing...

Hey again

As some may have noticed, at the bottom of my blog is a 'design' for what I would like my garden to look like if the house I'm living is mine and I get to do whatever I want with it and I have a decent budget at least.

Its nothing flashy, just a black and white and SIMPLE design and has multiple purposes. It's very simple for the fact that simple is good and with the drought, there are boundaries which I cannot cross with designs.

Designing is undoubtely fun...for me that is >_>...of course, its a total personal thing and I usually design for my own personal use, however, there was an occasion of someone desiring a design for their birthday pressie! (You know who you are! :D) But of course, that is no problemo because designing is enjoyable...but time consuming o_O...which actually is a GOOD thing cause it takes me away from gaming and keeps my mind active and innovative.

Designing requires quite a bit of trial and error as well as consideration of other factors during a design such as: Weather, purposes, which plants, how elements relate, etc etc etc.
Cause' I can say "Hey! lets just chuck a nice Cherry Blossom right here!"...but I have to consider factors such as: Its effects on the environment around it and simply suitability, why a Cherry Blossom?, would the Cherry be too large? etc etc!

I know some large trees that have vigorous root systems that are able to tap into water pipes which is a MAJOR problem (a very fine conifer my Grandpa had needed get cut down cause of this)...so thats another factor to take into consideration.

So (if you have read that massive slab of text...I talk a LOT more than you think...) designing is very enjoyable for me because of the imagination you can put into it as well as incorporating my love for trees and plants!

Yayzors (is that yellow text hard to read?)

Hey Neko!

Very nice blog! Designing is heaps of fun indeed hehe, you certainly have talent, judging by your garden design on your page ;-) Hopefully, when you become a landscape architect one day (which I am sure you will), you would be able to design a masterpiece for the city of melbourne, something where everyone can see your imaginative and carefully crafted work! =D

Good luck! :P

p.s I love cherry blossoms XD

Lol...designing for melbourne...I don't think I will actually enjoy going that far.
I do just like the nice simple garden, even a couple of square metres is satisfying enough!

Heyo!
Nice to see this blog expanding!
We should one day make a big origami project. Hmm... damn school and creepy things eating up my time.
Good Luck and see you online sometime.
